Breedr Raises $27M Series B to Digitize the Global Beef Supply Chain

Breedr, a livestock management platform, raised $27 million in Series B funding led by Partech's impact fund, with participation from Latitude and Outsiders Fund, announced August 27, 2026. The round brings the company's total capital raised to $46.6 million. Founded in the UK in 2018 by Ian Wheal and headquartered in Texas since 2022, Breedr operates across the US, UK, and Australia.

What Breedr Builds

The platform combines a livestock management app, an AI-powered data-verified marketplace, and an embedded cattle finance fund, tracking individual animal data, including weight, health, and family history, from birth through to processing. More than 2 million cattle are already tracked on Breedr's platform, and the company expects close to $500 million in livestock to trade through its marketplace this year. Breedr's expansion into embedded cattle finance is a particularly notable piece of the round: by underwriting against the same animal-level data it already collects for tracking and marketplace purposes, the company can theoretically offer more accurately priced financing than a lender working from incomplete herd-level assumptions.

Why Investors Are Backing the Model

The round will fund expansion of Breedr's global engineering team, onboarding more ranchers onto the platform, and building out advanced features including genomic data tracking. Partech's Arnaud Minvielle and Latitude's Remus Brett will join Breedr's board as part of the investment. Breedr's model sits at the intersection of two trends investors have increasingly backed this year: data-driven agriculture and embedded finance, letting the company capture value at multiple points in the cattle supply chain rather than relying on a single transaction fee or subscription model. Ranchers have historically relied on traditional agricultural lenders with limited visibility into individual animal performance, meaning financing decisions were often based on broad herd-level assumptions rather than granular data, which is precisely the gap Breedr's data layer is positioned to close. What This Means for Founders

For founders building in agtech, supply-chain software, or embedded finance more broadly, Breedr's raise is a useful benchmark for how investors are pricing platforms that combine data, marketplace, and financial products into a single offering. The investor match tool can help founders identify similar multi-strategy investors for their own raise, and founders evaluating an embedded finance layer should review their ARR and CAC carefully, since investors will want to understand which revenue stream is actually driving growth.
