Reuse Raises $21 Million Series A Led by At One Ventures to Scale Refurbished Phones Across Latin America

Retailers and phone makers in Latin America want to offer trade-in programs, but few can handle the testing, refurbishing and resale that follow. Reuse, a Chilean startup, does that work for them, and it has now raised $21 million.

Reuse raised a $21 million Series A led by At One Ventures, a San Francisco fund founded by Google X co-founder Tom Chi that focuses on deep technology with an environmental impact. Coppel Ventures, Alive and Endeavor Catalyst joined, and earlier backers Ignia and Dalus Capital also took part. At One joins the board. It was the fund's first check in Chile.

How Reuse Works

Reuse started by buying used phones from US insurers, refurbishing them and selling them in Chile. It later moved to a business model that runs trade-in programs for large retailers and brands. When a customer trades in a device, Reuse diagnoses it with its own software, refurbishes it and resells it. Partners listed in coverage include Falabella, Coppel, Samsung and Claro.

The Numbers

Dealroom reports that Reuse has raised about $27.5 million since 2018 and employs about 120 people. Ecosistema Startup reports the company sold more than $30 million in refurbished phones and devices during 2025. Those figures come from the company and press reports, and have not been independently verified.

Where the Money Goes

The company plans to start operations in Colombia, deepen its integrations with retailers and invest in technology. Dealroom says the round sits around the 90th percentile for all Series A rounds in Chile.

What This Means for Founders

For founders outside the main startup hubs, Reuse shows that a regional business can attract international capital when the model is clear and the market is large. It also shows how a B2B shift, serving retailers instead of selling to consumers directly, can give a company steadier volume and a clearer path to expansion. If you are preparing a Series A, show which customers drive repeat volume and how a second country can reuse the same systems. Consider how much dilution a round of this size means before you set your target.
