Lissun Raises INR 48 Crore Series A to Scale Sunshine Child Development Centres Across India

Lissun, a Gurugram-based health-tech startup focused on children with special needs and developmental delays, raised INR 48 crore in a Series A financing round led by Colossa Ventures. Participating investors include Physis Capital as a new investor, alongside existing backers RPSG Capital Ventures, Ivycap Ventures, Rainmatter (the investment arm of Zerodha), Multiply Ventures, and SucSEED Ventures, with New Age India Fund and Beyond Capital Ventures also joining the round. The raise was announced in the week of August 18, 2026.

What Lissun Builds

Founded in 2021 by Krishna Veer Singh and Tarun Gupta, Lissun operates through two delivery channels. Its consumer health brand Sunshine by LISSUN runs physical child development centres across India, providing in-clinic therapeutic services for children with autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, developmental delays, learning disabilities, and sensory processing challenges. Its digital platform provides AI-led tools and remote therapeutic support that extends the in-clinic experience into the home environment, helping families implement therapeutic techniques between sessions.

India has a significant and underserved market for children's developmental health services. According to estimates, more than 1 in 12 Indian children have some form of developmental delay or neurodevelopmental condition requiring specialised intervention. The supply of qualified specialists is heavily concentrated in tier-1 cities, leaving the vast majority of affected children in smaller cities and rural areas without access to qualified care. Lissun's hybrid model, combining physical centres in accessible locations with digital tools that parents can use at home, addresses both the access and affordability constraints that prevent most families from accessing care.

The Investor Signal

The participation of Rainmatter, the investment vehicle backed by Zerodha co-founders Nikhil Kamath and Nithin Kamath, is a meaningful signal for Lissun. Rainmatter focuses on health, climate, and financial education investments in India and has built a reputation for patient capital in categories where social impact and financial returns are aligned. Its continued backing from a prior round into the Series A signals conviction in both Lissun's mission and its business model viability. Colossa Ventures as lead is a newer entrant in India's early-stage investment landscape with a focus on technology-enabled healthcare.

This round adds to a growing cluster of India healthtech raises in August 2026. We covered the broader India investment trend in our earlier report on Peeko's INR 67.4 crore Series A for babycare quick commerce, which showed a similar pattern of domestic institutional capital backing tech-enabled consumer healthcare brands in India's tier-1 and tier-2 markets.

What This Means for India Founders

Lissun's raise is evidence that the India healthtech category is expanding beyond digital pharmacy, teleconsultation, and diagnostics into speciality healthcare verticals that require both physical infrastructure and technology delivery. Founders building in speciality care, chronic disease management, or paediatric health in India can see active India healthcare investors on AngelLinx for the landscape of domestic and cross-border funds deploying in this segment.

The hybrid physical-digital model Lissun uses is instructive: pure digital health models in India face engagement challenges because clinical trust is built through in-person touchpoints. Founders who blend the two delivery modes tend to have better retention metrics, which in turn supports the customer acquisition cost and lifetime value economics that investors scrutinise at Series A. The investor match tool can help India-based founders identify funds with relevant portfolio experience in hybrid-delivery health models.
