Summary

Miles is an AI personal trainer that coaches you like an elite human coach: it knows you, adapts to you and works around your real life. A real coach costs $500 to $1,300 a month, so most people get static templates instead, and fitness apps keep only 3 to 8% of users at day 30. Miles sees your life (weather, calendar, travel, missed sessions), reads your body (heart rate, sleep, fatigue, injury risk) and replans your whole week the way a human coach would, for $99.99 a year. We are starting with the world's 620M runners: the AI running coach is live today on iPhone and Apple Watch as Miles: AI Running Coach, with HealthKit and Strava sync in 7 languages. Next comes strength training, then a Miles band that streams heart rate, HRV and sleep to the coach. Growth runs on in-house UGC on TikTok, Instagram and YouTube, with proven viral videos scaled through Meta ads. We are raising $200k at a $2.5M valuation to reach ~29.5 lakh (2.95M) downloads and ~$5.2M App Store revenue in 6 months.

Notable Achievements

Miles: AI Running Coach is live on the App Store for iPhone and Apple Watch, with HealthKit and Strava sync in 7 languages. Two founder-run TikTok accounts crossed 120k views in 14 days with slideshow posts only, all from the US and generated 10k downloads. Founders previously scaled Vanilabs to Rs 80L ARR (CEO, ex-Google) and UrbanMatch to 50,000 users and $500k+ revenue (COO).

The Business

Personal training works, but almost nobody can afford it: a good trainer charges $40 to $100 an hour, and $46B a year is spent on trainers worldwide. Everyone else gets static PDF plans and generic apps that break the first time life gets in the way, and 37 to 56% of runners get injured every year, mostly from the wrong training.

Miles is an AI coach that does what a $1,000-a-month trainer does. It starts from your real fitness and run history, sets paces you can hold, and adapts every week: it moves runs around weather, calendar and travel, eases off when sleep or resting heart rate says you need rest, and rebalances the plan after missed sessions so you stay on track for race day. It explains every run in plain words and answers questions like a coach.

Business model: a simple membership at $99.99 a year or $14.99 a month, priced country by country (India pays Rs 2,499 a year). Gross margin is 70%+, since AI cost per member is a few cents.

Vision: Act 1 is running (live now). Act 2 is strength, one coach that plans both your runs and your gym sessions. Act 3 is the Miles band, included with membership, giving the coach heart rate, HRV, sleep and recovery around the clock. That data is our moat and makes Miles much harder to cancel.

The Market

Total market is $58B: global spend on personal trainers ($46B) and fitness apps. Fitness app subscriptions alone are $12B, growing 13% a year to $34B by 2033.

We start with running, the most practiced sport on earth with 620M+ runners. Runners have clear goals and race dates, so they are ready to pay for help. Demand is surging: the 2026 London Marathon drew 1.13M ballot entries, double two years ago, and Strava's running clubs grew 3.5x last year, led by Gen Z.

Why now: AI models can now plan, adapt and explain training at almost no cost, so 1:1 coaching finally scales. Body data got cheap: heart rate bands sell for under $50 and 46% of US adults already wear a tracker. And the wallet is proven: Runna reached $72M ARR in four years selling running plans alone, and Strava acquired it in April 2025. The category is validated but not yet won.

Competition: 1:1 human trainers cost $6,000 to $15,600 a year. Whoop ($199 to $359) gives data with no training plan. Runna/Strava ($119.99) sells running plans only. Nike Run Club offers free generic plans. Miles is a full adaptive trainer for $99.99 a year.

Objective/Future (Use of funds)

We are raising $200k at a $2.5M valuation to fund a 6-month growth sprint. Target: ~29.5 lakh (2.95M) downloads and ~$5.2M App Store revenue, with all revenue reinvested into distribution.

Engine: organic UGC finds the viral format, Meta ads scale it. US creators post 40 videos/month on warmed-up TikTok, Instagram and YouTube accounts. Videos with 100k+ views and "what's the app?" comments become Meta partnership ads.

Use of funds (months 1-4):
UGC creators: $133k (5 creators in month 1, scaling to 35 by month 4; $30/video plus view bonuses)
Meta ads: $85k (winners start at $200/day, scaled 20-30% every 3 days while ROAS holds 2x+)
Tools: $16k
Plus ~$55k from early App Store payouts
From month 5, all spend comes from Miles revenue, not the fund.

Milestones:
M2: first winning format, ~37k downloads
M3: format cracked, 25 creators, ~320k downloads in the month
M4: 35 creators, ~730k downloads in the month, $1.07M revenue
M6: 40 creators, ~1.04M downloads in the month, $2.08M revenue, ~$508k cash in hand

Growth Roadmap

Months 1-2: Sign 5 to 10 US running creators on contract ($30 a video plus view bonuses) and test hooks until the first winning format is found.

Months 3-4: Scale to 25-35 creators and put Meta ad money only behind proven viral videos (start at $200/day, raise 20-30% every 3 days while ROAS holds 2x+, cap $1,000/day). Target 320k-730k downloads a month.

Months 5-6: Growth becomes self-funded from App Store revenue. 40 creators, 1M+ downloads and $2M+ revenue a month, ~$508k cash in hand by month 6.

6-month target: 29.5 lakh downloads and $5.2M revenue on ~$963k total spend.
