The Business

Dental practices still manage critical revenue-cycle workflows across payer portals, spreadsheets, phone calls, and manual processes. Mermaid brings these workflows into one intelligent platform. It verifies insurance benefits, helps calculate patient responsibility, tracks claims and payments, and identifies revenue that may need recovery. Our goal is to become the financial operating layer for dental practices, starting with revenue-cycle automation.

The Market

Dental practices process billions of dollars in insurance and patient payments every year, yet revenue-cycle operations remain highly fragmented and manual. Mermaid is starting with dental practices because insurance complexity, repetitive administrative work, and revenue leakage create a clear need for automation. We can initially serve independent practices and small dental groups, then expand into larger multi-location organizations and adjacent healthcare revenue-cycle workflows.

Objective/Future (Use of funds)

Funding will be used to complete production hardening of Mermaid, improve and expand the AI revenue-cycle platform, onboard and support our first dental practices, cover cloud and software infrastructure, build early customer acquisition and sales, and handle essential legal, compliance, and operating costs.
