Vytalyou Raises Rs 9 Crore to Expand Doctor-Led Longevity Clinics in Mumbai
Preventive, longevity-focused healthcare has largely stayed a wellness-industry pitch in India, long on supplements and short on actual doctors. Vytalyou is testing whether a clinic staffed by specialists, not a subscription app, is what makes the category credible enough to scale.
Vytalyou, founded in 2025 by molecular oncologist Dr. Chirantan Bose and radiologist Dr. Preetesh Bhandari, raised Rs 9 crore in a pre-Series A round from Chetan Jain of Pharma Dose and Ratan Jain of Venus Industries, at a valuation of approximately Rs 33 crore. The company operates doctor-led longevity clinics offering pathology, radiology, cardio-respiratory assessments, body composition evaluation, genetic and cancer screening, gut microbiome evaluation, personalised IV therapies and regenerative interventions. The funding will support two additional centres in Mumbai by the end of 2026, bringing its total network to three clinics including its existing Powai facility, with a longer-term target of 10 locations across India.
Why a Doctor-Led Model Is a Deliberate Bet Against the Wellness Industry
Much of India's existing preventive-health and longevity offerings sit closer to consumer wellness, supplements, fitness tracking, lifestyle coaching, than to clinical medicine, a positioning that has limited how seriously the category gets treated by both patients and the medical establishment. Founding Vytalyou around two practicing specialists rather than a wellness-brand founding team is a direct bet that clinical credibility, not consumer marketing polish, is the actual constraint holding back adoption of longevity-focused preventive care in India.
Why Industrialist Backers Rather Than a VC Fund Led This Round
Raising from individual industrialists, Chetan Jain of Pharma Dose and Ratan Jain of Venus Industries, rather than a dedicated healthcare venture fund, is a common pattern for an early-stage, capital-light clinic business that does not yet have the multi-location proof points a venture fund typically wants before leading a round. That kind of backer can also bring sector-adjacent operating knowledge, both Jains' existing businesses sit in pharmaceutical and industrial manufacturing, that may prove useful as Vytalyou scales a physical, operationally intensive clinic network with a meaningfully different burn rate profile than a pure software product would carry.
What This Means for Founders
For founders building clinical healthcare businesses in India, Vytalyou's approach of leading with practicing specialists as founders, rather than a more typical startup-first founding team, is a useful reference point for categories where clinical credibility is the primary adoption barrier. Founders raising a comparable pre-Series A for a physical, multi-location healthcare business should also note that individual strategic backers familiar with operationally intensive businesses can be a more natural fit at this stage than a venture fund still waiting for proof the unit economics of each new location actually work.
