UniqYou Raises INR 15.8 Crore to Build an AI Fashion Platform for Women

UniqYou, a Bengaluru-based fashion-tech startup, has raised INR 15.8 crore ($1.9 million) in a seed round led by Arkam Ventures and Antler, valuing the company at roughly INR 64 crore post-money. Arkam Ventures invested INR 9.3 crore of the round, with Antler contributing INR 4.96 crore, and a notable group of angel investors rounding out the rest.

Founded in 2026 by Sneha Priya Reddy and Nishanth Jois, UniqYou is building an AI-driven platform that identifies emerging fashion trends and curates product recommendations for women shoppers, aiming for a more personalized alternative to standard e-commerce browsing. Following the round, Arkam Ventures holds a 14.93% stake and Antler holds 7.96%.

The angel roster is where this round gets genuinely interesting. Tracxn co-founder Abhishek Goyal, Wakefit co-founder Chaitanya Ramalingegowda, Myntra co-founder Raveen Sastry, and former Myntra CEO Nandita Sinha all participated individually. Two of those names, Sastry and Sinha, come directly from Myntra, India's dominant fashion e-commerce platform, giving UniqYou access to operator-level fashion and e-commerce expertise most seed-stage companies in the category can't reach.

Why the round size and structure both matter here

At INR 15.8 crore, this is a genuinely small seed check by the standards of India's current funding environment, where later-stage, larger checks have become more common. What makes it worth covering isn't the size, it's the precision of the cap table: two institutional leads holding a combined 22.89% stake alongside four named individual angels, each chosen for a specific, legible reason rather than a broad spray of smaller checks. That kind of deliberate, small syndicate is easier for a young founding team to manage and align than a larger round with a longer investor list.

What this means for founders

A seed round this early (the company was founded the same year it raised) with this specific an angel bench is a useful model for category-specific fundraising: rather than chasing generalist angels, UniqYou brought in operators from the exact adjacent business, fashion e-commerce, it's trying to disrupt. For founders building in a category with an obvious incumbent, identifying and recruiting that incumbent's own former leadership as angels can do more for credibility and specific operating knowledge than a larger round from generalist investors.
