Happy Health Raises USD 75M Series A to Build AI-Powered Continuous Home Care, Starting with Sleep

Happy Health, an Austin, Texas-based digital health startup, raised USD 75 million in Series A funding to accelerate its AI-powered platform for continuous home-based clinical care. ARCH Venture Partners and OpenLoop co-led the round. The raise will fund team expansion, regulatory clearances, and the build-out of Happy Health's care delivery network across additional chronic disease categories.

The Founder

CEO Dustin Freckleton founded Happy Health after suffering a stroke in medical school. The experience of being a patient in the healthcare system, and the gaps he observed in continuous physiological monitoring, became the thesis for the company. Freckleton's clinical background shapes the product's emphasis on physician-guided interpretation of data rather than direct-to-consumer self-monitoring.

The Product

Happy Health's platform uses clinical-grade sensors to collect over 2.8 million biometric measurements per night. An AI layer and first-principles physiological models help physicians distinguish meaningful biological change from day-to-day variation. The company's first clinical application is obstructive sleep apnea, which the platform can diagnose in as few as three nights with 98% accuracy.

The Roadmap

Sleep is the company's entry point because it provides one of the richest windows into human physiology. The roadmap includes earlier detection and physician-guided management of cardiovascular, metabolic, and other chronic diseases, using continuous monitoring data that is currently unavailable to most clinicians in a structured, actionable form.

What This Means for Founders

Happy Health's Series A demonstrates that AI-native health platforms with strong clinical validation can raise institutional rounds even at early stages of revenue. ARCH Venture Partners is one of the most selective health-focused VCs in the US, and their involvement signals the company meets a high bar for both scientific rigour and commercial potential. Health tech founders who can pair deep clinical evidence with an AI-native architecture are finding the market receptive.
