DeHaat Honest Farms Raises INR 35 Crore Pre-Series A to Scale Pesticide-Free Food Brand

DeHaat Honest Farms, the pesticide-free consumer food brand launched by agritech company DeHaat, has raised INR 35 crore in a pre-Series A funding round. The round was led by OTP Ventures, with participation from Sadev Capital and Maiuni Ventures. Alongside the fundraise, the company has appointed DeHaat co-founder Adarsh J. Srivastava as its CEO, signaling a direct operational commitment from the parent company's founding team.

What DeHaat Honest Farms Does

DeHaat Honest Farms sits at the intersection of two powerful consumer trends in India: demand for traceable, clean food and growth in organised retail across tier-2 and tier-3 cities. The brand sources directly from DeHaat's network of over 13 million farmers, giving it a supply chain foundation that most consumer food brands cannot replicate. Products span more than 100 SKUs across staples, superfoods, and daily essentials, all sold under a pesticide-free certification. The brand is currently available in over 3,000 retail stores across more than 120 cities, alongside quick commerce and e-commerce platforms.

The DeHaat Parent Network

DeHaat is one of India's largest agritech platforms, connecting farmers with inputs, financial services, and market access across Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, and other states. Its network of farmer touchpoints and input supply relationships gives Honest Farms a sourcing advantage: the brand can credibly claim pesticide-free status because it controls the input supply chain through the parent company's agronomy services, rather than relying on third-party certifications across an opaque supply base. This vertical integration from farm input to consumer shelf is the structural moat the brand is building around.

Use of Funds

The INR 35 crore pre-Series A will fund geographic expansion, category development, and retail footprint growth. The company has set a target of reaching over 10,000 retail stores and scaling ARR to Rs 200 crore within 12 to 18 months. The appointment of Adarsh J. Srivastava as CEO ensures that the brand benefits from DeHaat's institutional relationships and operational infrastructure as it scales outside its current retail footprint.
