Bengaluru-based women's activewear brand BlissClub has raised Rs 160.4 crore in a Series B funding round led by Singularity AMC, India's SEBI-registered category II alternate investment fund. The round saw participation from Meesho co-founder Vidit Aatrey, BlissClub founder Minu Margeret, and existing investors Elevation Capital and Eight Roads Ventures, both of whom doubled down on their earlier commitment to the brand.
BlissClub was founded in 2021 with a single product focus: activewear designed specifically for the Indian woman's body and lifestyle. The brand has built a loyal community around fit, comfort, and inclusivity, refusing to simply import Western sizing conventions into the Indian market. That positioning has driven strong retention metrics and a growing offline presence alongside its D2C digital channel.
The Series B capital will fund expansion into physical retail, new product categories, and deeper supply chain investment to bring more manufacturing onshore. BlissClub operates in a market that is large, underpenetrated, and historically served by either premium international imports or unbranded commodity products.
The Singularity AMC angle
Singularity AMC is a SEBI-regulated Category II AIF focused on growth-stage consumer and technology companies in India. Its presence as the lead investor in this round signals that BlissClub's financials are clean, its growth trajectory is verifiable, and the business is approaching the profitability conversation, not just the revenue one. SEBI-regulated AIFs are required to apply a higher level of diligence than early-stage angel or seed vehicles.
The founder participation signal
Vidit Aatrey investing personal capital alongside Singularity is a confidence signal worth noting. Founders who back other founders typically do so only when they see something in the unit economics and team quality that matches their own experience building a consumer brand from scratch.
What this means for founders
In consumer brands, community before scale is the durable playbook. BlissClub built a specific community around a specific woman before expanding horizontally. If you are building a consumer brand in India, this raise is a case study in why depth of fit beats breadth of SKU at the early stage.
