Why Do Zero-Dollar Fund Filings Keep Climbing? One Filer Returns With 19 More

Zero-dollar filings reached 31.88% of September 22's 138-vehicle total, the highest rate AngelLinx Intelligence has recorded in recent sessions and up from 28.80% the day before. Forty-four of the day's 138 vehicles reported no capital raised as of the filing date. As covered in prior sessions, a $0 figure almost always signals a fund vehicle that has just been registered and has not yet closed on investor capital, an administrative snapshot rather than a failed raise, and today's data offers an unusually clear window into how that administrative machinery actually works at scale.

Nineteen of the day's 44 zero-dollar filings, 43% of the category, trace back to a single signatory: Bryan Casey, whose name has now appeared in AngelLinx Intelligence's coverage on at least three separate occasions, most notably a 27-vehicle single-wrapper filing spree in an earlier session. Today's pattern looks different, and arguably more revealing. Rather than concentrating all 19 filings under one master-series wrapper, Casey's signatures span seven distinct entities: eight vehicles under a wrapper called A Master Series, LLC (including AG20 26, Aalo Atomics BBVC X, ABH Gimlet, Atoms & Bits Capital V, EGV Flash, and two Oceanid I filings), three under NonPublic Master, LP, three under Embedding Opportunity Funds, LLC (all three named Mammoth Mountain Fund I), two under Apex RosaBlue Partners LLC, and one each under OPP Ventures Master, LLC and SOJA Ventures Investments LLC.

The most telling detail sits in that largest cluster. A Master Series, LLC, the wrapper carrying eight of Casey's filings, also appears on four separate zero-dollar filings signed the same day by a different individual, Limited Bronze Square, covering a family of "Arigon"-branded series (Arigon LoopX and three Arigon FabX filings). Two unrelated signatories filing under the exact same master-series wrapper entity on the exact same day is strong evidence that A Master Series, LLC functions as shared administrative infrastructure, a back-office platform that pre-registers series-style fund vehicles on behalf of multiple different fund sponsors, rather than a single person's own family of funds. This is a more precise, directly verifiable version of the SPV-administration pattern AngelLinx Intelligence has flagged in prior sessions involving Fund GP, LLC and other repeat administrative filers.

Fund GP, LLC itself also appears prominently in today's data, though on a different footing. Rather than zero-dollar administrative filings, Fund GP, LLC signed 15 vehicles that did report capital raised, ranging from $21,366 up to $6.99 million, spread across nine differently branded fund platforms including Platform Funds 2026, JMWTX Investments, Roll Up Vehicles, and Exitfund Venture. That is up from nine vehicles across eight platforms in a session AngelLinx Intelligence covered previously, suggesting this administrator's roll-up business is scaling rather than staying flat.

Not every zero-dollar filing in today's data fits an administrative pattern. Several of the day's other zero-dollar vehicles represent newly opened funds from managers with no prior appearance in this dataset, simply reflecting the ordinary lag between a fund's registration date and its first capital close. Distinguishing a large administrative cluster from a single newly forming fund requires looking at the filer and wrapper-entity context rather than the zero-dollar flag in isolation, the same discipline AngelLinx Intelligence has applied to every zero-dollar story so far.

Set against recent sessions, today's 31.88% zero-dollar rate sits at the high end of a range that has swung between roughly 17% and 32% across the past two weeks of coverage, a spread wide enough to suggest the metric moves more with how many large administrative filers happen to land their pre-registration batches on a given day than with any underlying shift in how frequently genuinely new funds are opening. The recurrence of specific administrative names across multiple sessions, Bryan Casey now on at least three occasions and Fund GP, LLC on at least two, reinforces that a meaningful share of this dataset's day-to-day zero-dollar volatility traces back to a small number of repeat administrative filers rather than a broad wave of new fund formation across the market as a whole.

The seven different wrapper entities carrying Bryan Casey's 19 filings today are also worth naming individually for anyone tracking this pattern going forward: A Master Series, LLC (eight filings, also shared with Limited Bronze Square's four Arigon-branded series), NonPublic Master, LP (three filings, covering a physical AI fund and two energy fund series), Embedding Opportunity Funds, LLC (three filings, all three named Mammoth Mountain Fund I, suggesting either amendments to the same series or multiple closely related sub-series sharing one name), Apex RosaBlue Partners LLC (two filings), and single filings each under OPP Ventures Master, LLC and SOJA Ventures Investments LLC. That breadth across seven unrelated wrapper names in one day, rather than the single-wrapper concentration seen in Casey's earlier 27-vehicle appearance, suggests this signatory functions less like the operator of one large fund family and more like an authorized signer who works across multiple different SPV administration platforms simultaneously.

For fund managers and founders structuring a raise through a series LLC or similar SPV wrapper, today's data is a useful reminder that these administrative platforms are shared, multi-tenant infrastructure serving many unrelated fund sponsors at once, not a signal of unusual activity from any one sponsor.
