Catherine Nantongo is a social entrepreneur and founder of Obuntu Bwa Casalina, a Uganda-based initiative combining regenerative agriculture, value-added products, and community empowerment. Since 2019, she has scaled a food forest model across marginalized communities and refugee settlements in western Uganda, supported by accelerators including the National Social Security Fund's Hi-innovator Accelerator, CARE Uganda, and The Western Union Foundation Fellowship. Her work focuses on creating sustainable livelihoods through nature-based agriculture and market-connected value chains

My work is about more than growing food—it's about creating opportunities for future generations through sustainable agriculture and value chains that connect farmers to urban markets.
